From spectating to leading – developing awareness of what needs to change and the courage to act

Join our community hangout and explore ways of raising consciousness and the courage to act.

It is becoming more and more apparent that we live and work in an increasingly complex, interdependent and unpredictable world. Organisations, and the people who lead them, face numerous challenges, including the need to be agile, to transform, and to do so at pace whilst also negotiating the demands of competing commitments and supporting their people to be at their best.

In our work with organisations, we have found that the kind of leadership required to meet these demands and deliver results requires a dual approach:

  1. The ability to widen your lens and dial up your awareness of what needs to change, and
  2. The courage to act on your insights.

Doing this is sometimes easier said than done, and often, leaders might notice a tendency to spectate: to see what needs to change, but not act on that awareness.

In our next virtual 90-minute hangout, designed for senior business leaders and HR and L&D professionals, we will explore what it means to shift from spectating to leading. The session will include:

  • Questions to help you cultivate clearer awareness of what needs to change;
  • Space to reflect on the hidden blockers that inhibit leaders from taking courageous action;
  • Practical steps to build the awareness and the courage to lead, particularly when it feels risky.

The hangout will give you the opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect with a diverse group of senior leaders in a range of industries. Through facilitated breakout groups, peer coaching, and insights grounded in experience, you’ll leave with a clear commitment to action.
